SC09 Student Job Fair

This is a special opportunity for organizations exhibiting at SC09 and students participating in SC09's formal student programs (Broader Engagement, Education, Student Volunteers and Student Cluster Competition).

The SC09 Student Job Fair will give SC exhibitors the opportunity to meet with a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate students participating in the SC student programs (Broader Engagement, Education, Student Volunteers and Student Cluster Challenge). These students represent multiple backgrounds and research areas related to high performance computing, including computer science, engineering, mathematics, management of information systems, and physical/life sciences. The SC09 Student Job Fair will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 10:30am until 1:00pm in the Portland Convention Center rooms A103/104 and A105.

If you are a student and you are interested in participating in the Job Fair, please make sure you indicate this interest on your application to any of the SC student programs. Participation in the Job Fair will also require you that you forward your most recent resume; instructions will be sent to accepted participants. If you have questions or concerns, please contact student-job-fair@info.supercomputing.org.

If you are an SC09 exhibitor, we would like to extend an invitation to participate. Last year, more than 100 students participated in our first job fair, where recruiters met with students to discuss employment opportunities, co-ops, and internships. This year we are extending the scope of the job fair to include graduate school assistantships as well as employment opportunities in private industry and government research labs. If you would like to participate or have any additional questions, please contact student-job-fair@info.supercomputing.org .
